Finance Workshop: The Frontline Nurse Leader's Role in Creating and Implementing the Financial Plan

The 2017 workshop will take place on August 17 at NIU-Dekalb.

This one-day workshop is designed for staff nurses, charge nurses, nurse coordinators, nurse managers and directors who want to learn more about specific financial topics related to nursing administration.

    • Difference between operational and capital budgeting
    • How to make your case for capital purchases
    • Return on investment (cost-benefit analysis)
  • Introduce Value-Based Purchasing and the nurse leader’s impact on performance
    • Link patient experience and quality outcomes to financial performance
    • CMS goal to improve quality
