August 2016 - Message from Your President

Tuesday, August 23, 2016

Dear Members,

We’ve had a great past few months as an organization, bringing in new faces, discussing new ideas, and setting new goals. I’m eager and optimistic for positive growth in many ways, and I look forward to telling you all about it in the future.

As summer begins to turn into fall, I grow all the more excited to see many of you at the 2016 Annual Conference, September 29-30 in Lisle, Illinois. The meeting’s theme, “Navigating the Seasons of Change,” comes at a time when the United States healthcare system continues to undergo shifts and changes. Learning how to adapt to and move forward with these changes is crucial to your personal success and to the overall success of patient care in Illinois. For those of you who have yet to register, I strongly encourage you to complete your registration by next Wednesday, August 31, to take advantage of the limited-time discounted registration rate. I also advise you to make the most of your time at the conference and attend one of the two pre-conference workshops.

Fire up the grill and break out the white pants a few more times to take advantage of the last days of summer, and I hope to see you next month at the conference!

Sincerely,

Corinne Haviley, PhD, MS, RN
IONL President
Vice President/CNE, Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital

P.S. Keep your eyes peeled for the 2017 election ballot, coming your way soon for voting on next year's leadership!
