Dr. Nancy Novotny Assistant Professor Methodist College of Nursing, Peoria
Title: Using Pra to Predict Medicare Readmissions
Description: Dr. Novotny will present her
research on predicting early hospital readmission for a cohort of
adult inpatients using the Probability of Repeated Admission (Pra) instrument—which
built on her work shared at The Society for Hospital Medicine. Dr. Novotny is
the principal investigator of a current study entitled: "Predicting Patients
who are Likely to be Readmitted to the Hospital within a Month”. In this
session she will discuss her research findings and the use of Pra in clinical
settings.
This
continuing nursing education activity was submitted for approval to the Illinois
Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
