Objectives:

• The attendees will have an increased understanding of the history of academic progression in nursing education
• The attendees will be able to verbalize at least two different models of academic progression currently in use in the United States
• The attendees will understand the current state of academic progression in the state of Illinois and the challenges related to moving it forward
