Nurses are the most prominent healthcare professionals and therefore have the greatest influence on outcomes for our increasingly diverse patient population. It is important that nurse leaders foster workplace environments that are representative of the populations that we serve. This can be accomplished by developing strategies focused on recruitment and retention of diverse nurses and creating equitable opportunities. This discussion is focused on strategies employed by senior nurse leaders to improve the recruitment and retention process for nursing leadership roles to ensure it aligns with the Diversity, Equity, inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) needs of the organization. 1.5 CE hours available for attendance at this session Speakers: Tashunda Green, MSN, MBA, RN, NEA-BC Deputy Chief-Office of Student Health and Wellness Chicago Public Schools Raquel Prendkowski, DNP, MBA, RN, CCRN-P, NEA-BC
