Objectives: 1. Outline the nursing organization and structure
which support legislative processes. 2. Describe the framework for legislation in
Springfield 3. Develop understanding of the role of the Nursing
Care Committees 4. Identify strategies which will support a
successful legislative visit 5. Summarize the competencies needed to become
active in legislation affecting nurses/healthcare. 6. Network and discuss questions regarding NC3,
legislative visits or advocacy opportunities.
