Title: Canine Therapy in Acute Rehab Setting

How does Canine Therapy Impact on pain, anxiety and energy in the adult rehabilitation setting? A pretest/posttest design was used to determine how animal assisted therapy impacted these variables.
Objectives:
- To review animal assisted therapy goal directed intervention in which an animal meeting specific criteria is an integral part of the treatment process.
- To review what impact Animal-assisted therapy has on human physical, social, emotional, or cognitive function.
- To review the process for conducting research to measure the impact of animal assisted therapy.
